Dr. África Periáñez, founder and CEO of benshi.ai, will be a keynote speaker at Strange Loop 2022, a multidisciplinary conference that brings together the developers and thinkers building tomorrow's technology in fields such as emerging languages, alternative databases, concurrency, distributed systems, security, and the web. The conference will be held on September 22–24, 2022, at St. Louis Union Station, in St. Louis, Missouri.
In her talk, titled “Leveraging AI for global health: benshi.ai's data-centric machine learning platform,” Dr. Periáñez will highlight AI-based developments in healthcare in low- and middle-income countries. In particular, she will discuss the role that AI-based adaptive interventions can play in addressing global healthcare issues, especially epidemiological diseases such as tuberculosis, HIV, or malaria. Dr. Periáñez will also illustrate how AI can assist health workers by providing them with various recommendations and predictions that can improve health outcomes and reduce inequalities.
